Social Tour Monday, 4th September, 2pm : Vienna’s city center: its highlights and its secrets

Following this motto the tour will start with an inside visit of Vienna’s main cathedral, St. Stephan’s, in the heart of the city. Along the lively streets of the pedestrian zone like the Graben with its famous trinity column you will reach some quiet back streets with hidden corners evoking historic times. Following the footsteps of celebrities like of W.A.Mozart you will discover unknown courtyards and surprising prospectives.

Meeting point: Opposite of the main entrance to St. Stephan’s Cathedral in front of the Samsung/Drei store (Stephansplatz 8A)
Duration: about 2 hrs.

Social Tour Tuesday, 5th September, 10.30am: Schönbrunn Palace and its gardens

Habsburg’s former summer residence Schönbrunn palace is one of the most impressing palaces in the city and a must for every guests of Vienna. The tour starts with a walk through parts of the vast gardens and will continue with the visit of about 40 state rooms inside the main wing. The focus will not only be put on nicely decorated baroque rooms but also on the former owners like Empress Maria Theresia, who first sojourned there during summer time, like Napoleons only son, the so called “Little Eagle” who had passed away in this palace and last but not least Emperor Franz Joseph and his beloved wife Elisabeth, nick named Sisi.

Meeting point: Meeting point in front of the ticket office/visitor's center of Schoenbrunn Palace (left hand side behind the gate with the two obelisks).
