1ST EUROPEAN PHD STUDENT DAY IN ENERGY ECONOMICS

The Student Chapter of the Austrian Association for Energy Economics (AAEE), together with the Energy Economics Group (EEG) of Vienna University of Technology, will host a European PhD Student Day accompanying the 10th IAEE European Conference (7 to 10 September 2009). The PhD Day has been organised in cooperation with the French, German and Swiss Student Chapters of the corresponding national affiliates of IAEE.

The objective is to provide a deeper exchange of research and ideas among PhD students and between junior and senior scientists than is possible during the parallel sessions held at the conference.

Four PhD students have been selected to present their research in the field of energy economics and to engage in in-depth discussion of their research with the audience. Each presentation slot comprises 45 minutes (30 min presentation, 15 min discussion). All attendees of the 10th IAEE European Conference are invited to attend this event. Participation is free of charge.

Please note that the PhD Day will take place at Vienna University of Technology, not at the Hofburg Congress Center!
